Dating to the early to mid Victorian era this rare little ring is, perhaps, one of the most symbolic and unusual examples of its kind we’ve had the pleasure of acquiring.

Designed as a ‘knot’ ring which in this case most likely for the passing of a loved one and representing the intricate connections between the physical and spiritual worlds and the intertwined nature of our existences.

French in manufacture and hallmarked with the eagles head for 18ct to the outside of the band, and a ‘Bigorne’ hallmark (see below) to the inside.
Lush and rich 18ct with an enamel devotional ‘Je Plains et je Pardonne’ - translating to ‘I Pity And Forgive’.

Rare, symbolic and quite wonderful,  a true serious collectors piece of jewellery.
