Antique Edwardian to Early Art Deco Era Silver And Moonstone Pendant Necklace - 50.00ct
Presenting rarely to the market in such fabulous condition, this ethereally beautiful pendant necklace is truly a sight to behold and features an incredible estimated 50.00ct of crystal clear Moonstones with an ethereal blue Schiller.
Crafted in Silver throughout (tested as around 800-900 Silver), and set with a stunning array of luminous oval (and round) Moonstone cabochons in graduated style ranging from the largest to the centre of the necklace at 1.3cm x 0.9cm then tapering to the smallest at 7.6mm x 5.4m.
Closing very securely with a hidden box clasp which is also multi claw set with a further large Moonstone measuring 11.8 x 9mm or approximately 3.4ct.
Suspended below is an oval shaped pendant drop featuring an oval Moonstone weighing approx 1.60ct, surrounded by eight round Moonstone cabochons.
All the Moonstones exhibit the desirable soft blue rolling schiller, or adularescence, coveted in Moonstone jewellery, and each is so very well matched for conformity of size and depth for the entire length of the necklace, and to the exquisite pendant drop.
In a condition that defies description, with no chips, abrasions or dulling to any Moonstone, fabulous multi-claws to every Moonstone for security, this substantial 34 grams antique Moonstone is a collectors dream.
