This little interesting piece has had a bit of a history we believe so please read carefully.
Crafted from Sterling Silver in the from of a hounds head, finely detailed with lovely texturing to the ears, eyes, fur and wee little teeth.
Sold to us as with a Bloodstone base.. however we believe strongly that is not genuine Bloodstone and perhaps the original had been lost or damaged and whomever owned this lovely piece had a replacement made of ‘imitation’ Bloodstone which we believe to be a resin compound of some description.
Regardless he is a sweet faced pup and deserves to be loved again!
With marks to the attached loop that appear to be French, probably the ‘Crab’ for small items used fro 1838 to present. A new Sterling Silver trace chain measuring 46cm is included.

CONDITION
Very good antique condition with the exception of the probably replacements Bloodstone. However this has been done sympathetically and it looks good! Dog is lovely, finely detailed, nice expression, antique patina to silver which looks just lovely.
