Sweet and dainty Moonstone necklace dating to around the Edwardian era, perhaps a little later.

Styled as a ‘Festoon’ with fourteen organically shaped oval Moonstones each set in a silver over metal setting common for the era and subject matter.

The trace chain and sprung bolt clasp are however Sterling Silver and could be original or a later improvement.

Exhibiting a nice adularescence here and there and one or two showing a faint cats eye also common to Moonstone this ultra feminine necklace looks quite beautiful on.

Measuring a generous 48cm this one skims the collar bones nicely.

Good antique condition. One Moonstone has a surface reaching flaw and another a very small sliver chip, both of which are not very noticeable.
