Antique Edwardian Era British Masonic Orb Pendant 9ct Yellow Gold and Silver

*Please note boxes are for display only unless otherwise stated*

These ornate Masonic Ball Fobs can also be known as a Cross Fob or a Masonic Orb.

The original Freemason owner would have worn this to discreetly shown his membership into the brotherhood. They are still in production to this day, however they most commonly date to the late 19th to early 20th century.

This example is crafted from both 9ct yellow gold and gilt over silver (inside) to the inside pyramids which is the most typical construction seen, very rarely are they found in 9ct or 18ct inside.

The orb is of 9ct gold and in its closed position resembles a ‘ballot ball’ used during Masonic voting.

Once opened this Orb fold out to real six hand engraved pyramids ties 24 Masonic symbols - 4 per pyramid.

Folding open and closed perfectly, the hinge arms in full secure and functional order and with original 9ct gold bale and extra length of curb-link chain allowing this little piece of history to hang from a chain or perhaps wear it as a charm on a bracelet.
