Exquisite and unusual 9ct rose gold bangle dating to the Edwardian era.
Set with the most beautiful natural Garnet measuring approx 7.50 x 7.0mm or 1.35ct and two glorious cabochon Ceylon Moonstones each measuring 7.50mm.
Each stone is set in multi-claw ‘belcher’ style settings to a solid wire bangle which has a sliding mechanism which allows it to fit a variety of wrist dimensions.
This bangle is gorgeous … the Garnet is a cushion-cut, faceted beautifully and a cherry wine hue in colour.
The Moonstones are luminous and show a nice Schiller effect, combined, the silvery blue glow and the rich pinky-red of the Garnet compliment each other perfectly!
Quite a rare example and beautiful to boot, we know this bangle will become a future loved heirloom.
1 @ approximately 1.35ct - 7.5mm x 7.0mm
2 @ 7.50mm each
This bangle slides to slip on, once in closed position it measures 6cm x 5cm (Oval)
X Ray fluorescence (XRF) tested as 9ct gold
Very very good antique condition. All claws are present and securely hold the Garnet and Moonstones. No chips to Garnet or Moonstones, very miniscule marks to one Moonstone seen only under x10 loupe. Bangle is very firm and strong, wonderful design.
