Charming and extra large Edwardian 9ct rose gold photo locket measuring 6cm x 4cm (with bale).

With original bevelled glass panels and screw top mechanism to top, stamped 9ct and with an early patent number to lower gold frame.

These antique lockets were of course meant to hold photos of loved ones, and in the early part of the 20th century these photos were on quite thick card. This locket holds no photos therefore in between the two glass panels is a thick card to ‘plump’ out the glass panels. It is just waiting for your photos or miniature art work or some lovely dried flower arrangements!

This large all original pendant / photo locket would make an incredible statement piece hanging from a favourite chain, and would make a special addition to any jewellery collection!

Good antique condition, the glass has very minor scratches, and minor dings to gold frame (see photos). Minor nibbles to rims of glass but these cannot be seen as they are inside the gold frame.
