Absolutely charming early 20th century sentimental piece of jewellery in the form of a thistle pendant bearing the words ‘Dinna Forget’ in the Scottish dialect meaning ‘Do not Forget’.
Thistles are emblematic of guardianship & remembrance and the term ‘Dinna Forget’ is pretty well explanatory! Often given during a courtship to remind ones loved one not to forget them… how romantic!
This lovely example is crafted in 9ct rose gold and rock crystal with the internal ‘Dinna Forget’ appearing more of a brighter yellow gold.
Designed as a style reminiscent of a compass or ships steering wheel, both such symbolic emblems, and combined with the Dinna forget motif this special little piece could be special gift you have been searching for.
