Circa 1900 this impeccable little frog brooch is 121 years old but he doesn’t look a day over 2!
In incredible condition, all the Persian Turquoise and seed pearls are original and in beautiful condition. His little eyes are garnet cabochons.
Crafted from 9ct yellow gold and hallmarked to the verso with Duggin & Shappeares infamous ‘Anchor’ hallmark, 9ct and the ‘Wheatsheaf’ guarantee mark for 9ct gold.
With original safety chain and pin, this could be removed and with the addition of a larger jump ring could make a wonderful pendant ! The choice is yours.
Exquisitely crafted and so very collectable as these rare early pieces are , especially in this condition, this piece is a must have for the fine jewellery collector.

Wonderful antique condition. Turquoise and seed pearls are all original and no re-gluing ! Original C clasp and origin pin which is stamped ‘gilt’, very common for added strength.
