Dating to the early part of the 20th century this fine Bohemian Garnet necklace is just lovely.
Crafted from sterling silver with typical gold wash over this beauty comprises a full necklace measuring a generous 44cm with thirty elongated quatrefoil segments each set with four Bohemian garnets to each.
Suspended from the necklace is a daisy form cluster set with seven garnets to which a further large tear drop shaped pendant which is set with a central pear-cut garnet surrounded with another forty two garnets.
In incredible condition for its age there is not one abrasion nor chip to any garnet in this outstanding piece.
Securely clasped with a bolt ring clasp keeping this one firmly around the neck.
Necklace circumference is 44cm
Pendant drop from daisy cluster to bottom of pearl drop is 4cm and width 2.2cm
Tested via XRF as 925 silver throughout and low carat gold wash
Very good to excellent antique condition. No abrasion, no chips, no replacements to any Garnet even under x10 loupe magnification. All links and components are solid and silver soldered closed, a sign of quality. Clasp works perfectly.
