Wonderful and early ring crafted in Australia around the early 1900’s by Robert Robertson (1854-1921) dating to around the first quarter of the 20th century circa 1910.

Modelled in 9ct rose gold and engraved for the (almost) entire circumference with a still crisp and clear foliate and geometric pattern which of course would have been all hand done.

A blank square un-inscribed cartouche measuring approximately 8mm was incorporated into the design to hold the owners initials if desired.
This cartouche has not borne a wearers initials in its approx 120 years and is just waiting for yours if you should wish.

Lovely and wide at almost 8mm and of the rosy hue only antique jewellery seems to exhibit.

This Colonial Australian ring would make a wonderful alternative wedding ring or just add this piece of history to your collection.
