Incredible early combination pendant/brooch dating to around 1910 or thereabouts set with natural Amethysts throughout.
Crafted in Sterling Silver and set with an array of faceted round, oval and heart-cut Amethysts, approximately 32ct in total, all claw set and impressively large in her proportions at almost 5cm long by 3.5cm deep.
The Amethysts are stunning.. medium in hue with slight variations in colour which just add to her charm with the central round cut Amethyst measuring 1.5cm or 9.5cts.
Surrounding this central Amethyst are eight stunning carved heart amethysts and to the outer edge two large ovals measuring 1.3cm x 1.0cm each.
Suspending the pendant/brooch is a Sterling Silver fancy link chain which is quite long at 52cm allowing this one to sit midway on the décolletage.
To the verso is the original C clasp and ’T-bar’ hinge used from the late Victorian era and up to around the Art Deco era.
In incredible condition for its age, obviously treasured, the Amethysts show no abrasions or chips.
