Antique Austro-Hungarian 14ct Yellow Gold / Silver Old Mine Cut Diamond Dormeuse Earrings Circa 1880

Collections: Sold Archive

An exquisite pair of antique Diamond earrings in ‘Dormeuse’ style crafted around the 1880’s and Austro-Hungarian, (probably Vienna), we believe in origin.
Crafted in 14ct yellow gold to the galleries and lever backs with the diamonds set in silver as per the era.

Set with four old Mine cut diamonds the two larger weighing approximately 0.25cts each and light cognac, almost a pale yellow in hue, to the then top smaller diamonds weighing approximately 0.04cts each.

These beauties are so secure in the ear with their lever back closures which satisfyingly snap closed perfectly.

Bright and sparkly with the added allure of the faint yellow hue of the larger diamonds which contrasts beautifully with the silver settings and the little top white(er) diamonds.

CONDITION
Very good antique condition.  Lever backs are very secure and fully functional.  Please note one of the larger diamonds has a surface reaching inclusion and a very shallow sliver chip.  However they have been this way for approx 140 years. Price reflects this.  Lovely bright and very pretty earrings.

Please note boxes and chains are for display only unless otherwise stated.
