Exquisite and utterly charming photo locket dating to the turn of the century circa 1900.
Modelled from 9ct yellow gold of that soft in between rose and yellow gold only the early antique jewellery seem to exhibit.
Of petite proportions measuring 4cm x 3.5cm including bale ( not jump ring ) and featuring alternate Turquoise and seed pearls set in ‘fleur de lis’ motifs encircling the circumference.
With its original two panels of glass, which are in very good order with no chips or significant scuffs.
Australian in manufacture however this little beauty only bears the 9ct stamp, no makers marks unfortunately.
This treasure is waiting for its forever home and perhaps a photo of a loved one or some tiny dried flowers to be popped inside.
Please note chain is for display
4cm x 3.5cm
Lovely antique condition. Glass original and very good order. Turquoise and pearls original no re-gluing. Slight patina to gold, can be polished if desired. Tiniest little impression to one of the decorative ‘gold balls’ on frame.
