Charming combination pendant / brooch dating to the first decades of the 20th century.
Crafted from 9ct yellow gold and set to the centre with a natural pale to medium Amethyst which is six claw set to a frame resembling a bow or floral garland which is set with imitation (we believe) half seed Pearls.
To the verso is a hidden ’S’ shaped bale to which is attached another small oval jump ring which will accommodate a fine chain with a small fine clasp. Another larger jump ring could easily be added if desired.
Retaining its original C clasp fitting and pin (pin is not gold but original) and stamped with a 9ct stamp and an indistinct mark which appears to be an ‘R’ leading us to believe this piece is early Australian and by Robert Rollason as this was his stamp.
A charming early piece and priced to reflect the three Pearls which appear to be replacements.

Good antique condition. Amethyst is excellent with no chips or abrasions and claws are very secure. No repairs to be seen, C Clasp is original, pin appears to be original but not gold - gold fill or similar. Three Pearls appear to be replacements and this can be seen in photos, much less noticeable to the naked eye.
