This exquisite Edwardian combination brooch / pendant was made in Australia during the Edwardian era by iconic maker Aronson & Co and hallmarked accordingly with his hallmark symbol of a ‘flag’.
Set with five natural seed pearls ( one to bale ) and two vibrant ruby-pink red paste stones which were used extensively during this era.
Hand made from 9ct gold which has been ‘bloomed’ to give the appearance of a much higher carat gold.
Retaining its two original clear panes which are easily removable allowing your favourite photo or two to be inserted or perhaps some small dried flowers!
Very versatile given its articulated pearl set bale this little beauty ca be worn from your favourite chain or as a brooch with its secure original pin and C clasp to the verso.

Excellent antique condition. All pearls and red pastes are original with no re-setting or gluing. Clear panes are original and in very very good clear condition with only a few tiny marks. These locket and their two panes were/are meant to hold photos therefore there is slight movement given at this present time there are no photos to ‘plump’ the out, but this does not matter, it looks beautiful with out photos.
