Antique Australian 9ct Rose Gold ‘Willis and Sons’ Cufflinks Circa 1910-1920

Collections: Sold Archive

Crafted by one of our iconic early Australian jewellers Willis and Sons and dating to the early 1900’s.

This wonderful pair of 9ct rose gold cufflinks are quite large with fine hand engraved ‘Scroll’ shields and elongated torpedo dumbbells.

With a bloomed matte finish to the 9ct gold which contrasts nicely with the subtle hint of rose gold showing through the finely engraved chasing.

The large ‘Scroll’ shields measure 1.6cm x 1.2cm and the dumbbells 2.4cm and the shields are inscribed with the initials ‘FM’.

Hallmarked beautifully to the verso with Willis and Sons hallmark and in very good to excellent condition, we believe this exquisite pair of cufflinks have seen very little wear over their 100 or so years.

Ladies.. cufflinks are not only for the men!  These beauties look amazing on the upturned cuff of a crisp white shirt, and we don’t need much of an excuse to find yet another place to wear beautiful jewellery, right?
