Elegant and refined antique brooch by one of our early jewellery firms, W. Davis, Melbourne.
Designed as a knife edge bar brooch, crafted from 9ct rose gold, and featuring a single white cup set button Pearl to the centre and flanked to either end with two incredibly fiery and vibrant solid crystal Opals.
Both Opals display an almost neon pale of colour, exhibiting bright flashes of greens, blues, reds, pinks and oranges, and display these colours in almost every lighting condition.
Original C clasp and safety chain and pin keep this stunning piece of early Australiana securely in place. Clear hallmarks for W. Davis to the verso.
