History of Robert Rollason
Robert Robertson was born in Cupor, Fife in 1820 and migrated to Australia in 1852.
He established his business in Collins Street West in Melbourne in 1854. By the 1870’s he had a flourishing business and had moved to he’s new premises at 28 Little Collins Street West.
His son, Robert junior, become a partner in the business in 1875 and the name changed to Robert Robertson and Sons. Robert senior passed away in 1887 and by this time the firm had expanded to around 50 workers.

Our collection consists of pieces that are of antique and vintage condition, which means that all our items are secondhand and used. Customers are not purchasing 'new', 'perfect' and 'unworn items', and as such, should expect wear and imperfection. Any condition issues are always extensively mentioned in the condition summary.
