Ever popular and romantic crescent moon and star brooch with a tiny loop to the verso to which a large jump ring has been added enabling this one to be worn on a chin as a necklace also.
Modelled from 18ct rich and lush gold and set with natural half seed Pearls throughout and to the centre of the star an Old Mine cut Diamond.
Crafted around 1890 this piece is a wonderful example of Late Victorian/Art Nouveau style when celestial jewellery was all the rage.
Representing the feminine symbol of the Moon Goddess symbolising change and female empowerment.
Set with graduated natural half seed Pearls, 28 in fact, which range in colour from creamy white to rose and silver tones.
This is a sweet and beautifully made antique piece which we know is Australian however we just cannot find the makers mark in the literature.

CONDITION
Very good antique condition. Original C clasp and pin to verso. Diamond is lovely, clear and bright no visible inclusions. Pearls are a mix of subtle creamy white are rose silvery hues, all appear original and good condition. Gold is free from dents or dings and is bright and yellow with a lovely old look and patina.
