Antique Australian 15ct Yellow Gold Opal Half Hoop Ring Circa 1910

Sale price$823.00 AUD

Laybys welcome! Contact Us today to secure your dream piece.
Charming and early piece of Australiana modelled as a cabochon Opal half hoop ring.

Crafted from 15ct yellow gold and set with five graduated natural Australian white Opals which are quite high cut cabochons, each is basket and claw set to a then solid half round shank.

Hallmarked with a partially obscured name which we believe is ‘Macrow’ for A. Macrow and Sons 1891-1920+ and three hallmarks denoting Australian manufacture which we cannot 100% attribute to a specific maker.  It is not unusual to see a makers mark AND a retailer’s mark on early Australian jewellery.

This lovely and early ring is crafted in a manner that allows itself to be worn flush up against a wedding band or similar making it ideal for #stacking if desired.
