Antique Art Deco Onyx Diamond 10k Yellow Gold Ring Provenance 1931

Collections: Sold Archive

Superb original Art Deco ‘Dinner Ring’ with provenance dating it to 1931.
Purchased as a celebration piece for being hired as product writer and illustrator for Sears USA in the year 1931. Handed down through the family with this charming note of history.

This magical piece is constructed in 10k yellow gold, the standard for USA, and set with a very elongated black onyx measuring 2.2cm x 0.8cm, and set with two small early modified brilliant cut diamonds.

Very Art Deco in styling with stepped gold frame surrounding the Onyx to also stepped and grooved shoulders to a slim and comfortable gold band.

Hallmarked with a makers mark we can’t quite identify and stamped for 10k.
In just lovely antique condition, well just shy of 90 years old, this lovely and eye catching unusual ring draws compliments where ever she goes.
