Antique Art Deco Egyptian Revival Silver And Enamel Opening Sarcophagus Charm/Pendant
Quite the rare and collectible little Art Deco Egyptian Revival pendant dating to the 1920-30’s.
Featuring an opening sarcophagus which is crafted in 800 silver and detailed with lovely pastel blues, greens and white enamels with ancient Egyptian Iconography to both front and back.
Inside we find the original removable ‘Mummy’, gold gilt over silver, detailed with dark blue enamel, and his arms crossed over his chest and fine details to his face.
A petite size, this cool and hard to find pendant measures 3.0cm with the top bale (2.6cm without bale), and 8.6cm at the widest point.
These Egyptian Revival pendants are becoming increasingly hard to find, especially with their Mummy inside, and they certainly make a conversation starter when worn on your favourite chain!

Very very good antique condition. All enamel is present and in good condition. Pendant opens and closes very securely, quite tight. Minot marks to silver, insignificant. Mummy inside is present and blue enamel all present.
