Antique Art Deco Egyptian Revival Sarcophagus And Mummy Pendant Circa 1920-30’s
Quite the rare and collectible little Art Deco Egyptian Revival pendant dating to the 1920-30’s!
Featuring an opening sarcophagus which is crafted in 800 silver and detailed with blue and white enamels with ancient Egyptian Iconography to both front and back.
Inside we find the original removable ‘Mummy’, gold gilt over silver, detailed with black enamel, and his arms crossed over his chest and fine details to his face.
A nice size, this cool and hard to find pendant measures 4.5cm with the top bale and 1.3cm at the widest point.
These Egyptian Revival pendants are becoming increasingly hard to find, especially with their Mummy inside, and they certainly make a conversation starter when worn on your favourite chain!

CONDITION
Very very good antique/vintage condition. No loss to any enamel. Sarcophagus would have been gold gilt over also but this has faded, traces can be seen, appears mostly silver. Inside is gold gilt, as is the Mummy, miniscule losses to gilt to Mummys back only and patina to rim of inside case. Opens and closes with a nice click and stays shut. Quirky and collectible piece of Deco jewellery.
