Quite an exquisite antique Art Deco diamond brooch dating to the 1920’s or thereabouts.
Crafted from 14ct yellow gold in open worked ornate pierced style with an overall motif reminiscent of a winged butterfly or similar.
Set to the centre with an old European-cut diamond of approximately 0.22cts and surrounded by eighty six further OEC and rose-cut diamonds of various sizes with a total of approximately 1.10ct total.
The diamonds as per the era are set in silver, the under gallery in beautifully constructed 14ct yellow gold and fastened with a trombone clasp and gold pin.
Hallmarks to pin (3) and one to gallery, sadly they are very small and we cannot identify.
A fine piece of original Art Deco jewellery which can be worn as a brooch of course but simply thread a chain and wear this exquisite piece as a pendant also!
