DESCRIPTION (Please scroll to the bottom to view video)
Sublime and original Art Deco ring dating to the 1920’s with the most beautiful and large deep purple Amethyst measuring 15.5 x 13 x 9.2mm or a massive 10.0ct!
Crafted from 10ct white gold and centring this stunning almost regal purple Amethyst in rub over bezel setting features a ‘greek key’ pattern around the bezel, with an absolutely stunning raised open work gallery in a floral and vine motif which extends to the shoulders.
The gallery is curved to the finger allowing this ring to be very comfortable to wear.
Large and impressive on the finger this Amethyst is truly mesmerising, exhibiting colours ranging from the deepest purple, to dark flashes of pinks in certain lighting conditions.
1 @ 15.5 x 13 x 9.2mm - 10cts
18.5mm x 16.7mm
Rise from finger 7.8mm
Tested as 10ct
L 1/2 or 16.5mm diameter US 6
Sizeable within reason
Very good antique condition. There is slight fading to the ‘Greek key’ pattern in two areas on the bezel setting but this does not appear obvious or detract from this rings beauty.
No chips or abrasions to Amethyst. Gallery and shank are in excellent condition. Amethyst has a small natural internal inclusion which is (to us) very interesting! It is internal and very small and can be seen if your eyes are good enough or under a x10 loupe.
This does not detract from this Amethysts beauty at all and is a natural and interesting phenomenon.
