Pretty as a picture this original Edwardian combination pendant / brooch is such a versatile piece.
Constructed from 9ct yellow gold which is that pale soft in-between rose and yellow hue that only antique gold seems to possess.
In openwork flower motif and multi claw set to the centre is a round brilliant cut Amethyst. Surrounded by natural half seed pearls, to the outer trefoil motifs also set with natural seed Pearls.
To the rear there is the original pin and C clasp and also a hidden ‘twist’ bale with a further jump ring to thread a fine chain allowing it to be worn as a pendant.
Almost definitely Australian in manufacture however there are no makers marks to identify, simply stamped 9ct.
