Dating to around the turn of century circa 1900 this all original mourning ‘Initial’ bracelet is constructed from 9ct rose gold and set with a gothic style letter ‘M’.
Produced by one of our early and longest running jewellery firms Joseph Lawrence Pty Ltd (1894-1980).
Hallmarked crisply with the Joseph Lawrence hallmark, 9ct and the M.J.A. guarantee mark for 9ct gold to the underside of the clasp.
The central ‘M’ measures 1.6cm x 1.4mm and sits upon the original grosgrain ribbon which is 1cm in width.
With the original lift up clamp down fastener which is in perfect and tight condition, allowing the bracelet to be adjusted to fit almost any wrist.

Very good to excellent antique condition. Grosgrain is in very very good condition with no repairs, frays or disintegration. Gold has minor marks to clasp, superficial only. Hallmarks very clear.
