Rare 9ct Gold Powder compact for an Edwardian Chatelaine Chain worn around the waist of a woman in 1900s.

Charming all original Edwardian Chatelaine compact locket crafted from 9ct rose gold.
Easy to open and inside revealing one section with its original rim which may have held a photo or perhaps even a tiny mirror, and to the other a deeper section which would have been used to contain powder and now could hold a sentimental momento if desired.

Crafted by S Blanckensee & Son Ltd or Frederick Street & Great Hampton Street, Birmingham and fully hallmarked with his hallmarks and dated letter stamped for 1911.

This rare little beauty also retains its original jump ring to the top which is also hallmarked in the antique manner ‘ 9 - 375’.

An unusual and quite hard to find Chatelaine locket which will be a wonderful asset to any locket, Edwardian era or Chester assay collector.
