Wonderful antique 9ct rose gold open large curb-link fob watch chain by Manton & Mole.
Modelled in that 9ct rosy gold which only fine antique jewellery seems to possess and stamped to each and every link, including the round links supporting the original T-Bar, with ‘9 .375’.
The T-bar is also stamped with ‘M&M’ for Manton & Mole, all of which are sealed and original there fore this piece is in fact by M&M.
Both dog-clips are antique, one is ever so slightly larger than the other and is stamped with ‘ E W & S’ for E White House & Son of Vyse Street Birmingham in operation at the same time as Manton & Mole. This certainly would have been an addition to make this piece wearable as a necklace.
Measuring 39cm in length and a substantial 42 grams in weight this beauty sits high on the neck (depending on your neck circumference of course!). The beauty of these chains is they can be easily lengthened with a few solid jump rings which any working jeweller can supply.
Each long link is 1.8cm x 8mm
End to end 39cm
T-Bar drop from chain 2.8cm
T-bar is 4cm length
Each and every link stamped ‘9 .375’
T-Bar ‘M&M’ for Manton & Mole
Very good to excellent antique condition. No thinning or wear to links, hallmarks very crisp and clear. No thinning to dog clips, strong, sturdy and function perfectly. Stunning chain.
