Antique 9ct Rose Gold Double Albert Watch Chain 42.9 Grams

Superb 9ct rose gold double Albert chain in ‘Fetter and Knot’ style dating to the early 20th century.

Originally double Alberts or fob watch chains as they were also known, were worn by gentleman across their vests and designed to hold their pocket watches.
This example is a full length double Albert and measures a pleasing 44cm which sits just on or around the collar bones.

Stamped with  ‘9 .375’ to each and every Fetter link, each Knot link, two large jump rings, T-bar and both dog clips with all original fittings, no altered or added links, this one is just superb.

In superb condition with no thinning to any component, rosy 9ct in hue (a little over zealously polished and looking like new..) heavy without being uncomfortable around the neck this chain will last you a life time.

44cm in length
Each Fetter link 2.3cm x 4.4mm
T-Bar 3.8cm
Drop 3.8cm
Dog clips 2.3cm
42.90 Grams
Stamped 9ct .375 to every component and link
Excellent condition.  No thinning or wear to links or junctions between components.  Dog clips work perfectly. Solid and heavy chain of superb quality.  In our opinion a little over zealously polished however this is not a problem, antique patina will return!
