Antique 9ct Gold *Cased* Amethyst Propelling Pencil Circa 1900




Dating to the late Victorian era to perhaps the early 20th century this fine example of Victorian craftsmanship is simply charming.Designed as a propelling pencil and crafted in 9ct gold *casing*, with fine engraved detailing throughout.
Topped with a lovely round Amethyst (tested) with a flat crown and faceting to the pavilion of the stone.

Measuring a quite long 10cm when extended, and retracting to 8cm.

CONDITION

Condition - Very good to excellent antique condition.  Amethyst has no chips or abrasions even under loupe magnification.  Gold is bright and beautiful, no wear, losses and engraving is in crisp condition throughout.  Extends and retracts fluidly. No lead sadly but this can be sourced.
