22ct Gold full Sovereign, London Mint, with a young Queen Victorian facing to the left and W.W. buried in truncation for engraver William Wyon.
To the reverse St George on horseback holding short sword, over a fallen dragon with a broken lance in its chest and inn emerge (below) the date - 1878 and the artists initials B.P.
Authenticated by a coin dealer as above.
