Dating to the late Victorian era we have on offer a particularly pretty example of a mourning ring.

Crafted in 15ct rose gold and designed as a full circle of Persian Turquoise cabochons of round to slightly egg shaped, each set in cut down collet settings.

To the centre is a hard (not glass) round clear panel which originally would have displayed a lock of hair.  Sadly over time the rear locket compartment (and hair) has been lost to time.

What we would love to see perhaps is the new caretaker of this ring repurposing this ring to hold maybe a piece of lace from a wedding dress, a miniature photo or maybe some tiny dried flowers from a bouquet?  All that would be required is a little bit of handicraft and cutting a tiny hard plastic circle to pop in the back.

OR leave her as she is and wear her just the way she is now!!
