We are delighted to present an exquisite antique Victorian serpent ring for your consideration.

At its center, this ring features a stunning old mine-cut diamond, estimated at 0.20 cts. The diamond is bright, white, and graded with a colour of K-L and a clarity of VS1. Additionally, the serpent's eyes are adorned with two antique single-cut diamonds, adding a captivating touch.

Crafted from 18ct yellow gold, this ring boasts a smooth and buttery finish, feeling sensational on the finger. The shank consists of two parallel bands, with the top band elegantly transforming into the serpent's head, which is designed with a beautifully naturalistic appearance. The intricate details of the serpent's face and mouth are simply charming.

One of the most intriguing aspects of this ring is the set of partially indistinct hallmarks it bears. The hallmarks, either "C.G" or "E.G" in two oval cartouches separated by "18" in an oval cartouche, hint at its possible origins. After extensive research and comparison with a similar example we discovered online, we believe that if the stamps read "C.G," this piece could be attributed to Carlo Giuliano. Giuliano was a renowned jeweller in London from 1860, celebrated for his technical mastery and artistic brilliance. A piece by Carlo Giuliano is exceptionally unique.

Above all, serpents held profound symbolism during the Victorian era and subsequent decades, representing infinite love. Discovering a snake ring of this caliber is indeed a rare find in today’s market, making this ring a terrific heirloom!
