Superb Antique Arts & Crafts Era Saphiret And Sterling Silver Brooch - Chester 1896
Seldom do these fully hallmarked early pieces of Saphiret jewellery present to the market and we are thrilled to offer such a piece.
Crafted by William Griffiths & Sons of Northampton Street Birmingham, and assayed in Chester and date stamped for 1896.
Manufactured in Sterling Silver And set with three superb and large frosted Saphirets exhibiting the most stunning colour play, this piece is a collectors dream.
Measuring 4.2cm x 1.7cm this is no small brooch… The center Saphiret measures a large 1.6cm x 1.2cm and the two opposing measure 1.3cm x 1.0cm.
The colour play is the finest we’ve seen, dusky russet pinky/red rolling into vivid and bright almost iridescent sapphire blue, we could watch this one all day!
Captivating, fascinating and very very beautiful this fully signed, hallmarked and early piece will not present to the market often, be quick!
