This relatively modern 9ct yellow gold Serpent ring is full of charm and character, making it a delightful piece to wear.
Crafted in Birmingham and fully hallmarked for 9ct gold and assay in Birmingham, it’s a more recent creation, made after 1999 when date letters were no longer a requirement, therefore we would place this one around 2000 to 2010.
The Serpent itself is wonderfully detailed, with beautifully engraved scales that catch the light and give him a lifelike texture. His face is especially endearing—he has tiny Garnet eyes that glimmer with a subtle red sparkle, a sweet little open mouth, and even the faintest suggestion of nostrils, all of which add to his personality.
Measuring 1.1 cm at his widest point, he’s an impressive size on the finger, certainly not a ring that slips by unnoticed. Yet despite his bold presence, he feels as comfortable as he looks, coiling gently around the finger in a way that’s both striking and wearable.
