Modern 18ct Yellow Gold Ruby And Diamond Trilogy Ring Independent Valuation Included For $7000 AUD
Classically styled Trilogy ring representing ‘Past, Present and Future’, the larger centre stone symbolising the ’Now or Present’ and the two smaller diamonds the ‘Past’ and the ‘Future’.
This fine example is set front and centre with a 0.30ct round brilliant cut diamond - F/G colour and VS2 clarity - and set to either side with the most stunning, almost pigeon blood in colour, natural 0.25ct Thailand type Ruby.
All three gemstones are six claw set, a sign of quality, in 18ct white gold, to the ornate coronet mounts then onto a thick and solid yellow gold shank.
The name ‘Ruby’ does from the Latin ‘rubeus’ for red. In ancient Sanskrit ruby translated to ‘ratnaraj’ which meant ‘king of precious stones’. These fiery gemstones have been coveted throughout history for their colour and vitality.
