Charming 9ct Yellow Gold Lapis Lazuli And Seed Pearl Ring - London 1973
Please note, boxes are for display only unless otherwise stated.
This exquisite vintage ring is a beautiful celebration of colour, craftsmanship, and timeless style. Instantly captivating yet effortlessly wearable, it is the kind of piece that draws admiration the moment it catches the light and quickly becomes one you never want to take off.
Crafted in London in 1973, this ring is made from bright, warm 9 carat yellow gold and is fully hallmarked, including the date letter “S”, confirming its authenticity and heritage. The gold has a particularly lovely rich tone, glowing against the skin and perfectly enhancing the gemstones it holds.
The design is a graceful quatrefoil openwork, delicately detailed and wonderfully elegant. Set within the design are four oval Lapis Lazuli cabochons, each displaying that unmistakable deep, royal blue that lapis is so prized for.
Their colour is bold and luxurious, yet beautifully balanced by the addition of five natural silvery-white seed pearls, which add a soft luminosity.
On the hand, the ring has a striking presence without feeling heavy or overbearing. It has an attractive spread of approximately 1.6 x 1.5 cm, giving it real impact, yet it sits low to the finger, making it extremely comfortable and easy to wear every day. The shoulders are particularly ornate, flowing seamlessly into a solid half-round shank that feels secure, smooth, and reassuringly well made.
This is a ring that truly has it all: character, beauty, and a sense of history. The contrast between the glowing yellow gold, the rich blue lapis, and the soft shimmer of seed pearls is simply irresistible.
Elegant yet distinctive, refined yet full of personality, it’s a piece that doesn’t just accessorise an outfit—it elevates it. Once you see it on your hand, it’s impossible not to fall completely in love!
