Antique Victorian Sterling Silver Locket And Bookchain Collar Circa 1890-1900
Large and impressive statement collar and locket both crafted in Sterling silver, the locket dating to the late Victorian era and the collar we believe a little later, but combining beautifully.
The locket is large, measuring a 4.7cm drop with the large V shape bale and wide at 3.0cm. To the front is a stylised motif resembling initials but we don't believe they are, so perfect for every one!
Inside we find the two original rims, plastic inserts and old possibly original fabric.
The book chain is a wide 1.0cm, with a sliding ribbed bar and associated jump ring to attach this locket or any other you may with to attach. Closing securely with a push in/push down box type clasp. The slider can be removed to wear at the chain plain also.
Combined these two pieces are perfection, versatile, and true statement pieces!

CONDITION
Very very good antique preowned condition. Locket has original rims and probably later plastic inserts. Opens and closes with a snap. Minot marks to silver and very very slight impressions to verso. Chain closes perfectly. No issues to note.
