Antique Victorian Gold Filled Slide Chain Circa 1900
Known by many names including muff chain, lorgnette chain, guard chains etc, they were popular during the early 19th to early 20th century and used to hold a pocket watch, muff or other useful item.
Designed as a double rope twist with a stunning diamond shaped ‘slide’ which is set with bright and beautiful green and pink/red paste stones.
Looking very much like ‘real’ gold this pretty chain is a yellow rosy hue with no discolouration to be seen!
A simple and very functional dog clip allows this chain to be worn traditionally if desired or style her up, the options are many!
