Antique Victorian 15ct Rose Gold And Cabochon Amethyst Earrings Circa 1890’s

An exceptional example of Victorian era artistry, these beautiful long drop earrings both feature a strikingly vivid oval cabochon Amethyst and are superbly crafted in 15ct rose gold with no detail overlooked!
At first glance, we are captivated by the breathtaking intricacies; clover like and floral applied motifs, scalloped details, the multi-tiered design, and the delicate embellishments to the outer edges.
Each drop from the ear measures a long 4.5cm and at the widest point they measure 1.5cm making them quite impressive!
The Amethysts, each weigh approximately 2.5 carats, are bezel set with either a foil backed or 'closed' back, are articulated and gracefully dance with every movement.
We are quite mesmerised by the uniformity of the earring design and the impressive attention to detail, they are exceptionally striking and certainly not like anything we have viewed before.
Presenting in very very good antique condition, there are no chips or abrasions to either Amethyst and each are very well set and secure.
