Antique Sterling Silver Match Safe Vesta Case - Birmingham 1904
Hallmarked for Arthur Cook of Carver Street Birmingham and assayed at the Birmingham office with full hallmarks as such.
Engraved with a particularly pretty and feminine foliate pattern to the lid and both sides in diagonal fashion, with a plain section where ones initials could have been, and still could be inscribed if desired.
Measuring a very wearable and quite large 4.1cm x 3.2cm, this heavy piece - 21.9 grams - would make a lovely ‘keep sake’ to which treasured momento, dried flowers or perhaps a secret note could be inserted and worn close to ones heart!
