Antique portrait miniature Georgian Circa 1835 Watercolour On Ivory
Strikingly beautiful watercolour on Ivory we believe American dating to the Jacksonian era Circa 1845.
The sitter is a young girl with stunning strawberry blonde hair, blue eyes (which match the lovely blue ribbons at her shoulders), and the sweetest black cat seated happily on her lap.
Housed under domed glass in a gilt metal frame measuring a large 8cm x 6cm, backed with a dark sage green velvet backing, and a large round top ring.

CONDITION
Quite lovely condition. Painting is lovely and in very good condition with perhaps? a touch up to one spot on the cat only, no other indications of touch ups to be seen. Minor patina to gilt metal frame. Glass is excellent. Velvet backing is also excellent.
