Antique Edwardian Garnet Seed Pearl Lavaliere By William Dunkling Circa 1910

If not for the antique hallmarks for William Dunkling one could mistake this Lavaliere as having been made yesterday as it is in pristine as new condition!

Dating to around the fist decades of the 20th century, in popular Lavaliere style, and crafted from 9ct rose gold.

Three claw set natural Garnets are connected by knife edge bars to which two small natural half seed Pearls are set and the drops fall from beneath these Pearls. Two pear-cut Garnets, also claw set, drop ever so slightly asymmetrically as was the style of Lavalieres of this era.

The trace chain is superbly made and clasped with its original push-in barrel clasp which is stamped for 9ct also.

William Dunklings hallmarks is discreetly positioned to the the verso of one of the drops and is clear and very recognisable.

Measuring 41cm in length/circumference this collectible early Australian piece of history is a true collectors item.
