Antique Edwardian French 18ct White Gold Diamond And Pearl Earrings

Laybys welcome! Contact Us today to secure your dream piece.
An elegant pair of antique earrings dating to the Edwardian (Belle Époque) era, manufactured in France and hallmarked as such.

Modelled in 18ct white gold and designed as articulated knife edge bars to which a series of three tiny rough rose cut diamonds are each millgraine set in horizontal fashion.
Suspended below is a tear drop motif also set with small rough rose cut diamonds and to the centre a small cup and post set white Pearl.

The substantial and long 9ct rose gold shepherds hook fittings are later we believe but look simply beautiful suspending these gorgeous diamond drop earrings.

Stamped with French 18ct gold ‘Mercury’ hallmarks for manufacture for export.

These very pretty earrings swish and dance in the ear with movement and would be a fine addition to any serious collection.

CONDITION
Very good antique condition.  Diamonds are tiny rough cut rose cut diamonds, sparkly though and just lovely!  Pearls are white and original.   One articulation pin is more noticeably than the other? under loupe or close scrutiny only, one diamond sits slightly ‘askew’ to the one above but it is secure as deemed by our jeweller!!  Shepherd hooks are later, substantial and strong, long the back and very secure in ear.
