These ornate Masonic Ball Fobs can also be known as a Cross Fob or a Masonic Orb. This example is by UK jeweller John Henry Wynn (1899-1938) and stamped as such.

The original Freemason owner would have worn this to discreetly show his membership into the brotherhood. They are still in production to this day, however they most commonly date to the late 19th to early 20th century.

This example is crafted from both 9ct yellow gold and silver (inside) to the inside pyramids which is the most typical construction seen and is a lovely weight and size suitable as both a pendant or perhaps an addition to a charm bracelet.

Once opened this Orb folds out to reveal six hand engraved pyramids with 24 Masonic symbols, 4 per pyramid, with typical gilt wash over silver.

A charming piece, highly sought after for their symbolism and beauty, a must for the serious collector.
