In lovely antique condition with crisp hallmarks, this is a collector’s favourite and a piece you’ll treasure for many more years to come.

Timeless, sentimental, and effortlessly stylish — a true Edwardian gem!

Please note, boxes and chains are for display only unless otherwise stated.

A beautiful and timeless piece of Edwardian elegance, this 9-carat rose gold locket was crafted in Birmingham in 1906 by Able & Charnell of Frederick Street. Fully hallmarked with the maker’s mark “A&C”, the 9ct gold standard, and the clear 1906 date letter, it’s a wonderfully authentic example that has gracefully endured for over 118 years.

This double-sided locket is perfectly proportioned and delightfully wearable. It features a classic oval shape with a ribbed ball finial and a clever screw-top mechanism that allows the glass panes to be easily removed so you can insert your own treasured photographs on both sides.
The glass remains nice and tight, and the locket looks equally stunning worn empty — letting the warm rose gold and elegant simplicity take centre stage.

Measuring a lovely 4.3 cm long (from the top of the bail) by 3.0 cm wide, it sits beautifully against the neck and catches the light with that soft, romantic glow characteristic of rose gold from the period.

Photo lockets like this have remained consistently popular for well over a century — and it’s easy to see why. They’re deeply personal, incredibly elegant, and remarkably versatile. Whether worn with cherished images of loved ones or simply as a graceful standalone piece, this locket is both a wearable work of art and a beautiful slice of history
