Antique Early Victorian 9ct Yellow Gold Shield-Shaped Sardonyx Locket Ring - Birmingham 1857
Crafted from 9ct yellow gold, and featuring the central shield shaped Sardonyx which opens to reveal a locket compartment which still retains its original glass framed window with plaited hair beneath. This glass compartment is removable and the hair can be replaced with a treasured photo or left empty if desired - (we can do this for the buyer if requested).
Supporting the shield are stunningly beautiful ornate shoulders and a shank which is also imposed for its full circumference.
The condition of this ring is incredible, as is the workmanship. A collectors dream, however suitable for any one who admires true antique jewellery and the skills of jewellers of days long gone by.
