Large and impressive antique 15ct rose gold and Coral ‘Figa’ pendant dating to the Victorian era.
This natural salmon coral ‘Figa’ is finely carved and is almost definitely Momo coral - ‘Momo coral is found in the tropical waters north of Japan and Taiwan and is identified by having whitish pale spots called “soul”. Ranging in colour from medium light red to salmon/orange to a reddish pink in hue. Considered a valuable feature as it is indicative of natural Coral and determines its authenticity and provenance’.
This fine example measures a very substantial 3.8cm in length ( not including chain and bolt ring clasp - 6.4cm ) and a lovely wide 1.5cm at the widest point, and weighs an extraordinary 12 grams.
Original oval 9ct gold links and a small lovely quality antique bolt ring clasp are retained and make this piece very versatile and wearable. Attach her to you favourite large link chain or thread a chain through and wear alone or with your favourite other pendants!

CONDITION
Very good to excellent antique condition. Coral is sleek, smooth and glossy. A substantial piece of Coral with no issues to note. No thinning to links and bolt clasp is excellent condition also.
